I suppose these words only come into play when I knew I'd bought something that pushed all of the right buttons in terms of, it looked fantastic, it felt fantastic (for the brief moment I tried it on), and it was a fantastic price into the bargain. I only got this excited by great clothes and yes, all in all I suppose the right words were both anticipation and excitement.
Once home, the aches and pains were quickly forgotten in a mad dash to the nearest room with a mirror. Once my new purchase was back on, this time for as long as I liked, I'd wait to see if a true sense of satisfaction started to sink in. If I did start to feel that sense of satisfaction, I'd know I'd bought myself some great clothes, some really classy clothes and clothes that looked set to become firm favourites.
When you are in the actual shop, you don't really get an inkling of these things because there are just too many distractions, but at home and worn with attitude, your purchase of regular or perhaps interesting clothes, have the ability to become a purchase of great clothes. I suppose it's fair to say that you do lose part of the buzz if you choose to shop for your clothes online, but the more I shop online, the more I'm inclined to forego the smell of the high street hunt in my nostrils in favour of the massive choice online.
I even believe it's possible to experience a similar level of excitement shopping online, especially during the sales. I probably find shopping online more rewarding, knowing that once I've clicked and paid, it's mine. Any high street sale carries no such guarantee. You queue for hours only to get involved in a crazy, undignified rush for the bargains, with the prospect of being manhandled out of the frame at the last minute.
No, my mind has been changed over the last couple of years and because of the massive choice, the huge competition and the dignified manner in which I can shop, I prove to myself regularly that it is entirely possible to satisfy my desire for great clothes online.
Ultimately the choice is yours, but being the owner of a full wardrobe of really great clothes which when worn, make me feel just great, bought mainly on the Internet, and without any great loss of excitement or anticipation, I'm more than happy to describe myself as an online convert.
Wherever you shop, happy shopping.
